Academic Success Program: Support & Programming

Welcome to the Academic Success Program (ASP) at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law! The primary goal of the ASP is to help students develop skills necessary for success as law students, bar takers, and lawyers. Some of these skills include: critical reading, analytical thinking, issue spotting, and exam preparation.

What we offer

We have a number of programs and courses that are geared to support students at different stages in their law school journey:

  1. Kick-Start: a skills-based program for incoming 1L students;
  2. Academic Skills Lab & Tutoring: a skills-based program for 1L students;
  3. The Legal Analysis Workshop: a bar-prep course for 3L students that focuses on the MBE and MEE portions of the Uniform Bar Exam;
  4. Preparing for the Multistate Performance Test: a bar-prep course for 3L students that focuses on the MPT portion of the Uniform Bar Exam; and
  5. Master the Bar Exam: a program that offers support to recent alumni while studying for a Bar Exam.

We also offer various bar-prep workshops, educational opportunities, and individualized assistance to students.

The ASP wants all students to feel confident in their studies and to be prepared for a Bar Exam! If you are a current student and need support, please contact us!
