Bar Preparation

The Academic Success team offers two courses during the fall and spring semesters, as well as a summer course to help prepare 3Ls and recent graduates for the Uniform Bar Exam.

Legal Analysis Workship (LAWS 551)

This two-credit course prepares students for the Uniform Bar Exam by providing high-level coverage of substantive bar topics and detailed instruction on test-taking skills. The course includes questions from the Multistate Essay Exam and the Multistate Bar Exam.

Preparing for the Multistate Performance Test (LAWS 552)

This one-credit course focuses on the skills required to competently and timely complete the Multistate Performance Test (MPT) portion of the Uniform Bar Exam. Students will complete MPTs to receive scoring and individual feedback, aiming to increase their MPT proficiency.

Master the Bar Exam

This summer course is for students to engage in and commit to completing a commercial Bar Prep program while simultaneously participating in assessments to test the efficacy of their learning. Students participate in a commercial Bar Prep program approved by the Law School and complete an assessment provided by the commercial Bar Prep Program, which includes graded essays and Multistate Bar Exam questions.
