Ethan Connor is a Master's candidate for the Languages, Literatures, and Cultures program with a focus in Comparative Literature. He graduated in 2025 from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in English. Before graduating he also attended a semester at Otto Friedrich Universität in Bamberg, Germany. During his studies he began translating German poetry and developed interests in early modernism as well Medieval romance.

His main area of focus is modern German poetry, specifically Rainer Maria Rilke's conceptions of Beauty and the poet's role. He is currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for beginning German.
