USC has many resources available to make sure every graduate student has the tools they need to thrive in grad school and beyond. Check out the links below to learn more about our campus partners and other resources for your success. 

Campus Partners 

The Career Center Graduate Student Advising can help graduate students with all aspects of career readiness and job searching. Get support on application materials, prepare for interviews, develop your professional network and more.

Check out the Graduate Student Professional Development calendar for a list of all upcoming workshops, presentations and events designed for graduate students.

Student Health and Well-Being provides programs and services that promote physical, mental, and emotional health across the USC community. Receive one-on-one or group counseling, medical services, and wellness support.

University Libraries offers research data analysis and statistics support through one-on-one and small group support. Receive help with statistical tests, SPSS, R and RStudio, Python, MATLAB, Excel, Excel Macro and C programming language.

The Center for Teaching Excellence empowers GTA/IAs to contribute to USC’s instructional mission and goals with resources to help them develop their teaching abilities, learn effective teaching strategies, and explore new classroom instruction techniques.

The Gamecock CommUnity Shop provides free food, clothing, and supplies to support the basic needs of USC students, staff, and faculty.

The USC Writing Center supports graduate students with any writing assignments at any stage of the writing process. The Writing Center can support dissertations, theses, coursework, and personal writing. 

Money Management Resources

An emergency loan is:

  • Granted for unexpected expenses with documentation
  • Interest free and limited to a maximum of $750
  • Required to be repaid within 60 days
  • Only granted when classes are in session
  • Used to cover the cost of the unplanned expense so income is available for routine expenses

CashCourse is a way for students to build financial literacy through a blend of interactive tools, self-paced lessons, and real-world applications. Our platform’s content is crafted by academic experts and vetted by students to ensure relevance and relatability. 

Gamecock School Supplies provides free school supplies to all undergraduate and graduate students at the University of South Carolina.
