Who is My Academic Advisor?

You must meet with your assigned academic advisor each semester before registering for classes. Not sure who your advisor is? Here are some places to look. 

Finding your Academic Advisor in Self-Service Carolina

  1. Log in to Self-Service Carolina and select the Student tab.
  2. Select "Student Profile".
  3. Your academic advisor will appear on your student profile in the middle block.

Finding your Academic Advisor in My Advising Portal

  1. Log in to My Advising Portal.
  2. Locate the Advising Team card.
  3. Your academic advisor will appear in this card, along with their contact information. 

Finding your Academic Advisor in DegreeWorks

  1. Log in to Self-Service Carolina, select Student, and then click the DegreeWorks button. Choose the Columbia campus.
  2. Your academic advisor will appear in the top block of your degree audit directly under your classification.

If the advisor field is missing or blank in any of these locations, contact the Student Services office in your college for help identifying your academic advisor.
